As part of our logistics consultancy service we regularly work with our clients to outsource their logistics operations through competitive tenders. In order to engage directly with all potential 3rd party logistics providers we have a dedicated Linkedin group. The purpose of this group is to post upcoming tenders and also provide a single platform for 3rd party logistics providers to promote their services. Additionally, the group is a forum to discuss best practice in logistics procurement and share industry news.
The group already has a large membership representing more than 150 companies, both from the 3rd party logistics sector and those interested in procuring logistics services. If you offer warehousing, transport, or a related service, we strongly encourage you to join the group. We are more than happy for any business in the group to post promotional material discussing their service and we also encourage the sharing of related articles and discussions.
Since the start of 2016 we have seen a significant growth in the number of clients considering outsourcing for the first time, or re-tendering their logistics operations at the end of a contract term. Already this year we’ve been engaged to tender dedicated e-commerce warehousing, retail distribution, shared-user retail warehousing and pallet network requirements. With this in mind we use the Linkedin group to ensure that all potential providers are engaged with upcoming opportunities and that the right providers are matched with our clients.
